Fragment 5 — Farewell Madeleine — This Fragment is found by completing the time puzzle that is just a few steps forward after warping into this zone through the time gate. Fragment 6 — Teatime Mont Blanc — Found by completing the hidden time puzzle atop the building where you fought Caius in a different time. The 6 on the map indicates its location. Fragment 7 — Dishonest Mille-feuille — Slightly to the south east of Chocolina is a building, go in and Mog will sense something.
Synch this time puzzle and complete it to receive the Fragment. The 7 on the map marks its location. Fragment 8 — Pink Parfait — found by completing the time puzzle on the beach, near the stairs. This one is longer then most so be ready. The 8 on the map indicates its location. Fragment 9 — Graviton Core Zera — Found along the waterline of the beach. Mog will not sense it when you are close so keep an eye out for it.
Synch it and grab it. The 9 on the map marks its location. Fight Caius again, he will be stronger this time, and kill him. After the fight you can access this new zone. Enter and after the scene you will receive this Fragment. Fragment 1 — White Hole Gem — Received through the story upon entering the Coliseum for the first time.
Make the weather sunny by moving both levers down on the weather control machine. When you walk out to the location of the monster you will find a Long Gui in your way. Go back to the weather machine and move the right lever so that it becomes cloudy and the lightning will scare off the Long Gui.
Head back and defeat the boss to obtain this Fragment. Fragment 2 — Goblin Fragment — Receive a quest from Tipur upon meeting with the nomads for the first time. You will have to kill some goblins which will be marked on your map. Upon doing this you will receive the Fragment.
Fragment 3 — Fragment of Invincibility — After completing all other Fragments, aside from 6, you will have a new dialogue option in the Nomad Camp.
Talk to the lady down the stairs from the weather machine. Set the weather to windy and go to the location on your map. Kill the machine to get this Fragment. Fragment 4 — Ochu Fragment — After completing all the Cactuar stones, and killing the 3 Gigantuars, go to the Nomad Camp and talk to the man near the weather machine. Turn the weather to rainy and head to the marsh to find the Ochu.
Kill it to receive this Fragment. The 4 on the map marks his location. This is a tough battle, multiple 99 classes will be needed. Upon his defeat you receive this Fragment. The 5 on the map shows his location. Fragment 6 — Yomi Fragment — After completing Fragment 3, talk to the man by the weather machine to start this quest.
Take a Chocobo out to the rock, jump onto it then get off the Chocobo to initiate battle. This is a tough fight, one of the hardest in game so be prepared. Upon its defeat you will receive this Fragment. Fragment 7 — The Wolly Stone — After finishing the Goblin quest, this one will be right outside and down the ramp. The three sheep needed for the quest will be found in the grassy area outside the nomad camp.
Return to the lady to receive the stone. Fragment 8 — Crimson Crystal — Slightly south of the nomad camp is a red Cactuar stone. Touch it and investigate it to receive this Fragment. The 8 on the map indicates the stones location. Fragment 9 — Azure Crystal — Proceed to the south of the nomad camp till you are nearly at the bottom of the map. There you will find a red Cactuar statue.
Touch it and investigate it further to receive this Fragment. The 9 on the map indicates the stones location. Fragment 10 — Forest Crystal — Obtained by touching the yellow Cactuar stone at the south of the map. It will only appear in windy weather. The 10 on the map marks its location. Fragment 11 — Amber Crystal — Obtained by touching the red Cactuar statue on the west side of the map. It is the most nothern of the two. Only available if you have touched the yellow stone, have a Chocobo, or the super jump.
The 11 on the map marks the stones location. Fragment 12 — Violet Crystal — Head to the west, and touch the red Cactuar stone. It is the southern one of the two. The 12 on the map marks its location. This zone is only available after beating the game.
Kill Atlas with the Paradox skill active so that history is altered and this zone will unlock. Fragment 1 — Mutantomato Fragment — Received upon killing the boss after you have weakened him and he is green.
Take the vine so that you are on its south end, then jump down and the ledges and follow the short path, along the right wall you will see the Fragment floating in mid air, toss Mog to get it. Fragment 1 — Miniflan Fragment — Upon saving the 5th Flan you will trigger this event. Go take care of the Flan problem to receive this Fragment.
The 1 on the map indicates the location of the group. Fragment 2 — Lapis Lazuli — This can be found after the scene with the Flans. Mog will instantly run over and if you use his synch, it will cause a small Flan to appear and you will get this Fragment. The 2 on the map indicates his location Fragment 3 — Heliodor Ore — The Flan for this one can be found just above the ones for Fragment 2.
Take the vine on the left to land on a small piece of land with blue Flans on it. Use Mogs synch ability to make him appear to receive this Fragment. The 3 on the map shows the Flans location. Fragment 4 — Carnelian — Slightly to the north west of Chocolina you will find a stray flan. Synch him using Mog to receive this Fragment.
Fragment 5 — Celestine — This stray Flan is found a little south east of Chocolina. Use Mog to bring it into synch and you will claim this Fragment. The 5 on the map shows the stray Flans location. Fragment 6 — Cosmo Aura — Found at the bottom of the map where you will see a group of white Flans. Use Mogs synch ability to cause the little Flan to appear and you will get this Fragment.
The 6 on the map indicates the Flans location. It is on the slightly raised platform. Use Mog to synch it and pick it up. The 7 on the map shows its location.
Fight the big flan once, then go back and fight him again. After the second battle this new zone will become active. Enter it to receive a scene and afterward you will receive a Fragment. Fragment 2 — Idea Circuit — This quest is started in the room in the top left corner of the map on the 50th floor. The item to finish the quest is on the same floor, in the room with Chocolina.
It is up near the ceiling. Toss Mog to get it, then return to the computer to turn this quest in and receive your Fragment. The 2 on the map marks the Paradox item location. Fragment 3 — Enigma Codex — Receive the quest from the computer in the same room as Fragment 2.
The item is on the 49th floor. Travel to the west most part of the map and along the wall you will see a floating box, just in front of the yellowish panels.
Throw Mog to obtain it then bring the item back to the computer. Fragment 4 — Difference Engine — Receive this quest in the same room as Fragments 2 and 3. The item is on the right side of the map, but you must look down a long ways to see it. If you stand on the middle ring and toss Mog east towards it you should have a good chance of getting it. Mog must land on it or else he will likely bounce off and miss. The 4 on the map shows where you should stand when throwing Mog. Fragment 1 — Entropy Board — Received after reaching the top of the tower and fixing the computer system.
You can only get that skill after beating the game. Get to the top and fight with the Fal'cie again with the skill on to open up this new area. Enter it to receive a scene and at the end you will obtain this Fragment.
Fragment 1 — Zenobia Fragment — Received after killing the storyline boss Zenobia in this zone. The 3 on the map marks her location. Fragment 13 — Graviton Core Delta - Obtained as part of a story quest. This core is found at the bottom of a red ramp near Chocolina on the left side of the map. Rapidly jump down the ramp to get to the bottom, then use Mog to bring the core in synch. Fragment 1 — Academic Rank: Monster Professor — You must collect data on every single monster in the game.
Once you do this, return to this man to receive your Fragment. The 1 on the map marks his location. He is located in various spots around town. There are three main areas. At the top of the map near the door leading to Hope, in the bottom left of the map or the bottom right. The 2's on the map mark some of his locations. He is out of synch each time, so you must keep an eye out for him and synch him using Mogs ability.
Fragment 8 — Epicurean Song — This Fragment can be obtained by completing the Brain Blast puzzle on the far right side of the map. The 8 on the map marks its location. Fragment 9 — Lyceum Knowledge — Go to the most southern Brain Blast puzzle on the left side of the map. Answer all 10 questions to receive this Fragment.
Fragment 10 — Academia Wisdom — This Fragment can be obtained by completing the Brain Blast puzzle on the left of the map, above the Fragment 9 one. The 10 marks its location on the map. Activate it then close this gate. Now enter it and proceed through the dialogue as you normally would. When you hand in the cores to Alyssa she will offer you an Artefact. Say no to trigger a new event that will get you this Fragment.
Fragment 1 — Paradox Scope — Received upon completion of the game. Fragment 2 — Amethyst and Luvulite Fragment — Receive upon defeating this mini boss through part of the story. Fragment 2 — Ultima Brand — Found inside the well at the abandoned village.
It is a tough throw but get Mog inside it to receive this Fragment. It is floating above a small ledge. Fragment 4 — Chaos Brand — Found beside the red Chocobo to the east of the optional time gate. During his dream state begins make sure to activate the Paradox skill to alter history and when you enter the fight with Caius you will have a new battle. This new fight is much tougher but upon beating him you will open this new area and obtain a Fragment.
Kill the monster to receive the Fragment. The 1 on the map shows his location. Fragment 2 — Baxter's Last Light — After entering the zone, take a few steps forward towards the tunnel. On the left will be a man out of synch. Synch him using Mog then speak with him to receive this Fragment. The 2 on the map indicates his location. Ray is found on the right side of the map. The 3 marks his location on the map. Fragment 4 — Sarge's Last Light — After completing Fragment 1, he will spawn a little ways away from the battle area.
